Teaching

Anna was the principal singing teacher at Lichfield Cathedral School for seven years, where she taught the vocal scholars and directed operatic productions and choirs. For many years she also taught at The Croft Preparatory School and having relocated to Lincolnshire she teaches at The Priory Academy LSST and is an Associate Lecturer at Lincoln University working with music and drama students.

Her pupils have gained membership of distinguished ensembles such as the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Youth Chorus and the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain. They have performed in national tours of shows (inc. The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, The Secret Garden and Matilda) films (inc. Nativity) and with companies such as National Youth Music Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and Youth Music Theatre. In competition, many of Anna’s pupils have won classes in local music festivals and several have been finalists in the Rotary Young Musician of the Year Competition. Previous pupils have been accepted to study at Chethams School of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire of Music, and one of Anna’s pupils is currently studying on a scholarship at the prestigious Purcell School. Others are already embarking on music careers of their own, performing, leading ensembles and teaching in their own right.

Anna teaches privately in Fulbeck and Lincoln and although her timetable is currently full, do get in touch about a consultation lesson with the view to joining her waiting list as slots do open up here and there.
